At the moment I am working with a school towards an Aboriginal assembly consisting of one song and a dramatised story.

The story can be found here:

The gifts of the sun goddess

This story represents the idea of just being who you are. The idea that the very thing you hate about yourself might just be the thing that you miss when its gone. Also it might be the quality which others strive for. This great story can be easily dramatised and performed  by a small group of children.

The second piece to be used in this assembly is a simply aboriginal song that can be taught either as one simple melody or can easily be turned into a harmony piece by simply getting one seperate group to sing the same melody at the same time but a third higher. I would recommend this song for KS2 and above.

Inanay Guppa Wana

I though that these resources might help others who are looking for aboriginal based resources.
